Bryan Whittinghill » Welcome!

My name is Bryan Whittinghill - nice to meet you!
I am one of the World History teachers here at Shelbyville Central, and I am so glad to be here! I am very passionate about history, and it is my goal to create an atmosphere of desire to learn! History is such an important aspect of who we are - not only does it build a better understanding of who we are as a people, but it also helps us learn from the past, and guides us to move forward learning from it.
Even though History may seem like a dull subject to some, I absolutely love it, and it is my goal to spark an interest for it in the life of our students.
Here are a few of my favorite things!
  • Spending time with my wife and SIX wonderful children!
  • the Chicago Bears.
  • Indiana University athletics (Yes, I am a "Hoosier!")
  • Anything Harry Potter.
  • Anything Star Wars
  • Playing music.
  • Coffee
  • Woodworking
  • Landscaping
Have a great day!!
