About Me!

Hi Eagle Nation! My name is Ms. Rose, and I’m thrilled to be teaching World History at Shelbyville Central High School. I was born and raised in Shelbyville, and SCHS has always held a special place in my heart - it’s where I dreamed of teaching for years, and I’m so grateful that dream is a reality!

I graduated in the spring of 2025 summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a degree in Secondary Social Science Education. Over the past year, I had the privilege of student teaching at SCHS, and since 2021, I’ve also been coaching soccer here. The relationships I’ve built with students, staff, and this incredible community have only deepened my passion for education and my belief in the impact we can make together.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, being active, and all things sports entertainment. I am an experienced soccer referee, so even if I’m not coaching or playing, you can still find me on the field!

My goal as an educator is to make a lasting, positive impact in my students’ lives by preparing them to be informed, thoughtful, and contributing members of society - through meaningful relationships, professional integrity, and a dynamic, student-centered approach to teaching social studies.
