All About Mrs. Ball
Hello! My name is Lauren Ball. I am one of the ESL teachers here at SCHS. I am the ESL co-teacher for physical science and biology.
I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Indiana University - Indianapolis in 2018. I earned my master's degree in English as a second language instruction (PreK-12) in 2021. I have always valued learning about other cultures and languages, and ESL quickly became my passion during my educator preparation programs.
This year marks my 8th year of teaching. I have been teaching ESL for the past 4 years in an elementary setting. This will be my first year working in a high school environment. I am excited to challenge myself professionally as I embrace working with this new age group.
I have been married to my husband, Ben, for 5 years. He is a firefighter with the Bedford County Fire Department. We have one son, Brooks, who is 2 years old. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, and swimming laps. Ben and I also enjoy coaching swimming and assisting with the SCHS swim team.
