About Me

I recently moved here from Washington State and I am in my sixth year teaching. I am a certified Waldorf teacher through Sound Circle Center, and I am currently completing a MEd through Middle Tennessee State University! I graduated from University of Washington with a B.A. in Creative Writing and Philosophy, so I am excited to be at SCHS teaching English Language Arts. I also have previous work experience as a paraeducator, assistant teacher, childcare counselor, yoga teacher, family mediator and I even used to have some gardening clients! In my free time, I love to play fiddle and guitar, sing Sacred Harp, write poetry and songs, and sew clothing.
