About Me
Hello!
I am a 10th grade English II teacher with degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Motlow State Community College. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering comprehensive student development that encompasses both rigorous academic achievement and meaningful character growth.
In my classroom, students engage with literature and writing that not only builds essential literacy skills but also cultivates critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and personal reflection. I am committed to creating an environment where students develop strong communication abilities while exploring the deeper themes and values that shape our understanding of ourselves and society.
My approach to education emphasizes the importance of academic excellence alongside character development, preparing students not only for future educational endeavors but also for thoughtful citizenship and lifelong learning. I am dedicated to supporting each student's individual growth and helping them discover their unique voice as scholars and individuals.
