ABOUT ME
Welcome! I have been teaching English at Shelbyville Central High School since 2000. I currently teach English III, AP Language & Composition, and Speech & Communication.
I was born and raised in Rutherford County, and graduated from MTSU with a B.S. in Graphic Communications as well as a Teaching Certification in English. I do have roots in Bedford County as my mother is a Shelbyville native and SCHS 1971 graduate. I am married to a dairy farmer, and have a two adult children, a son and a daughter who are both SCHS graduates.
As a teacher, I hope to foster student well-being and engagement, continually improve instruction and focus on classroom organization and personal balance.
