I choose to teach math because as a student I always enjoyed math, not because it was easy but because of the struggle and effort one has to do to get through a problem. The feeling of accomplishment was un explainable. I want every child that walks into my classroom to experience this feeling at least once. I hope I am that teacher to get them there. Math is CHALLANGING but everyone CAN do math. I want my students’ mindsets to change. All positive thoughts and knowing: even if I don’t get it the first time, if I persevere I will get to my goal!
