JAG Career Association

Shelbyville Central High School JAG Career Association (JAG-CA)

The JAG Career Association (JAG-CA) is the student-led organization connected to Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG), a national program that prepares students for success in high school, postsecondary education, the workforce, and life. As members of the National Career Association, our students gain valuable leadership experience while preparing for their future careers.

Why Join JAG-CA?

Being part of the National Career Association provides JAG participants with opportunities to:

  • Prepare for initial employment by practicing workplace skills and career readiness activities.

  • Develop leadership abilities through officer roles, team projects, and service opportunities.

  • Gain advancement skills that will help them succeed in their chosen career fields.

  • Connect with peers and professionals through competitions, networking events, and community involvement.

What We Do

Our JAG-CA members participate in activities such as:

  • Hosting career-focused workshops and events.

  • Volunteering in the school and community through service projects.

  • Competing in local, state, and national JAG-CA events that highlight employability and leadership skills.
