2008-2010: University of TN Chattanooga - Master's Degree (M.Ed.) - Secondary Education
2016-2017: Lincoln Memorial University - Educational Specialists (Ed.S.) - Instructional Leadership
My Focus at SCHS
My main role here at the school involves attendance and making sure that students are coming to school regularly. The state of TN has a three tier attendance policy that the school follows. For those of you that do not know what the attendance policy is let me give you the brief outline:
Tier I: If you miss 5 unexcused days SCHS will do an attendance contract that the student/parent sign and it goes to central office.
Tier II: Once you miss 8 unexcused days are county social workers are notified and you will receive a call and a visit at your house from them.
Tier III: At 11 unexcused days you are considered truant and Mr. Barry Bennett at Central Office will file truancy on you with the Bedford County courts and you will have to attend a truancy board.
